January 16, 2007 ushered in the first expansion to ever grace World of Warcraft, The Burning Crusade. Highly anticipated by some, dreaded by others, The Burning Crusade turned out to be a pretty good time to be had by everyone involved in The Onslaught. We were formed under the premise of hitting BC with a fervor not known by our original guild, and we didn't disappoint.

In June of 2006, the majority of the leadership of the KoA decided we were unhappy with the state of the guild, and the power we were given to fix the problems we perceived. So, in what we felt was the only logical solution to our problem, we began to formulate a plan which would eventually rid us of those we felt weren’t a good fit for our gaming style. On December 31, 2006, after endless debating and countless hours of careful planning, we officially broke ties with the KoA and formed The Onslaught. To our surprise, the support was overwhelming. Where we thought we would get around 20 members, over 50 people left the KoA ranks within a matter of days and helped lay the groundwork for what would be one of the best guilds to ever grace Archimonde.

Our venture into Warhammer Online was short lived, much like our time in AoC. Many of the core members of the guild were still wrapped up in their WoW exploits, and some didn't have the computer necessary to even install the game. None the less, some old friends popped out of the woodwork and helped carve out a niche for the guild that lasted until early 2009.

Much like every other MMO that came out around this time, AoC was full of potential. The combat combo system was fairly unique to the MMO genre, and the graphics were a step above anything not born in China.
